The Vision

Expansion you say…what is that all about? Well, I’m glad you asked!

In October of 2017, one Sunday morning at a stop sign in the Transcona area of Winnipeg, God spoke to me and confirmed the calling that he placed on our lives to Pastor The Pas Christian Fellowship (TPCF) here in The Pas, MB.

​

While Sylvia and I were in prayer one evening in May of 2018, God spoke to me about the vision for TPCF.

As a part of that vision, He showed me a picture of a building expansion. He gave me the layout, the measurements, and how it should look. He also gave me a scripture that would be our mission statement moving forward. (1 Peter 1:3-5)

As a church body we have received this vision and believe that it is of God, and we have begun the early process in moving forward into adding this addition to our facility.

It will add 145 seats to our sanctuary seating capacity. It will give us a café/atrium area for connecting over coffee etc. It will give us a more functional and upgraded nursery, an administration office, a handicap accessible washroom, all on the main floor. With entrances at the front and back with a wheelchair ramp to the main door.

The upper floor will be equipped with a mezzanine, our live stream department, storage, three Pastoral offices, washrooms, and a multipurpose room with a kitchenette area.

​

The basement will be extended to create a larger space for gatherings, supply storage rooms, three washrooms, five classrooms for our growing kid’s ministry, a servery, and a lift that will accommodate mobility issues for folks challenged with stairs. The lift will cover all three floors.

This is a big project! These are not things that we have accessible to us presently, and we believe we need to have order in the facility and be prepared for the growth that The Lord is doing in His church.

So, you may be thinking, what will this cost?

​

Well, I’m glad you asked! The projected cost for the project is $2,000,000.00

​

While we could go to a bank and strap the church with a huge mortgage, our leadership does not have peace in doing that. That leaves us with our only resource being God! And that is ENOUGH!!! Amen!!

​

God does not provide vision without provision, and we believe that He wants to do something supernatural in this process. Maybe after reading this, you feel the Lord is laying on your heart to give into this vision.

​

Luke 6:38 Jesus said, Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

​

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says but this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

​
